Cook-Devos Center for Health Sciences
Allied Electric began this project in 2001 and completed the electrical portion of this exciting $57.1 million state-of-the-art center for Health Professionals in the summer of 2003. This center is part of Grand Valley State University's health program. The building is located atop "Health Hill" in downtown Grand Rapids on the northeast corner of Michigan and Lafayette Streets.. This center offers extraordinary one-of-a-kind training and research opportunities for the next generation of future healthcare providers. The general contractor for this project was Pioneer Construction. The center is a 215,000 square-foot, five-story facility. Its features include a 150-seat auditorium, 30 teaching and research labs, classrooms, a distance learning room, and three computer-equipped classrooms.
